Logistics centers to surround TrnavaDate:16.04.2007 The direct surroundings of Trnava that is continuously changing to a huge industrial zone, will see even more investments in the coming future. The first one is the logistics and warehousing center developed by the Slovak transportation and logistics company Papo from Bohdanovce nad Trnavou. Their facility with a total area of 10 thousand square meters is already under construction in the nearby Selpice. The site will focus on logistics services and warehousing of various products. In the first phase, these will include mainly dried, packed and canned food, but also parts and components for the electronics industry. Papo provides transportation and logistics services to several major foreign investors in Slovakia. The biggest names include Sony Slovakia, Samsung Electronics Slovakia, Vitana Slovensko, and Amylum Slovakia among others. The community Selpice that is located only three kilometers from Trnava also caught the attention of the TOP Development group from Bratislava. The developer possesses 110 thousand square meters of lands, and plans to construct there a large logistics and supplier center. The company has already a valid land use permit for this zone and about 20 percent of the future available space are already pre-contracted by future clients. More logistics, production and distribution facilities will be build by TOP Development also in the direct vicinity of the PSA Peugeot Citroën site in Trnava. A sharp increase in new orders in the domain of transportation and logistics may also be expected after the completion of the planned Samsung plant that is to manufacture LCD screens in the nearby Voderady. |
